The village sits on the edge of the Sierra Cabrera, just a short drive above the small town of Turre where there is an abundance of bars and restaurants. From there it is but a short hop to Mojácar, the white sugar-cube village perched on the hill above the beach of Mojácar Playa. All around there is rugged mountain scenery and delightful little Spanish towns and villages. This is the most unspoilt coast of Spain, with no high-rise and few intensive developments. For golfers, there is the choice of the quaint little 9 holes of Cortijo Grande in the valley below Cabrera or two renowned 18 hole golf resorts just 10 or 15 km away.
